The Department of Management, Mar Elias College, Kottappady, organized an Orientation Programme on Aviation and Hospitality Management on 23rd July 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The session was specially arranged for all First Year BBA and B.Com students to provide them with valuable insights into the growing career opportunities in the aviation and hospitality sectors.
The resource persons for the session were Dr. Jacob Mathew, Director, Kairos Institute, and Mr. Jiju John, Senior Aviation Faculty, Kairos Institute. They delivered an engaging and interactive session that introduced students to the scope, skills, and global opportunities in aviation and hospitality management, encouraging them to experience the augmented reality aspects of the field.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Praveen Kumar K. P., Head of the Department of Management. Dr. Joseph T. Moolayil, Principal, Mar Elias College, graced the occasion and shared inspiring words, highlighting the importance of exploring new career domains and adapting to emerging trends in the service industry.
The orientation concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding career prospects and training opportunities in the aviation and hospitality sectors. The event proved to be an enlightening experience for the students, broadening their understanding of the dynamic career pathways in these industries.
