The awareness session on Company Secretary course named “ Pathway to Company Secretary Course “ was organised by Mar Elias College Commerce Association (MECCA) & Mar Elias College Management Association (MECMA) on 21st February 2024 at the College Auditorium, especially for Commerce and Management students. The awareness session was organized to provide an insight into the profession and its benefits. The session aimed at informing participants about the CS course structure, career prospects, and the importance of the role in corporate governance. Almost 200 students attended the session.
Mr. Nikhil George Pinto, Chairman, Kochi Chapter, ICSI, our resource person, has clearly given an overview of the profession. He well explained the definition and role of a Company Secretary and his duties and responsibilities. He also provided an overview of the CS course curriculum, examination process and eligibility criteria and duration and its registration details. He also added career paths available after completing the CS Course. He also shared some success stories of individuals who have pursed the CS course and excelled in their careers. He also addresses the queries related to course details, career prospects and industry trends. Overall, the event successfully achieved its objective of raising awareness and generating interest in pursuing a career in the Company Secretaryship.
