Department of Social Work in association with IQAC and CLSL agency, Palakkad and Kerala forest department, Nemmara division conducted a street play on drug abuse – Vimukthi,as an initiative to aware the community about the defects of drugs. The campaign was conducted on 20.10.2023 at 10.00 pm.62 students and 2 faculty members participated in the program.An introductory session was inaugurated by Mr.Manoj Sub Inspector of police, Nemmara division. After that trainees and faculty members gathered at the Nenmara bus stand and the students started the program with a flash mob.After that, there was a wonderful street play against drug abuse played by the students. It was an effective program for trainees.The program attracted significant attention among our students and faculty members. The awareness program on drug abuse and interventions can decrease adolescent drug abuse rates and crimes in and outside colleges.
