The PG Inauguration Ceremony, Deeksharambh 2K24, was successfully conducted on July 2, 2024, at Mar Elias College, Kottappady. The PG Inauguration Ceremony marked the beginning of the academic journey for the new postgraduate students. The program was designed to introduce students to the college's vision, mission, and values, and to provide a platform for interaction with faculty members and peers.
The program aimed to welcome new postgraduate students, inspire and motivate them to excel academically, and foster a sense of community among students, faculty, and staff. The ceremony was well-attended and received positive feedback from participants.
The Inaugural Ceremony, Deeksharambh 2K24, commenced with a prayer at 10:00 am, setting the tone for a sacred and enlightening event. Mrs. Jili K Eldhose (HOD, Tourism Dept). warmly welcomed the gathering, comprising esteemed guests, faculty members, and students. Rev. Fr. Eldhose Pulparambil (Board President, Vicar, Kalkunnel Mar Geevargheese Sahada Church) delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the significance of the occasion and inspiring the students to embark on their academic journey. Dr. Joseph T Moolayil, Principal, (Mar Elias College, Kottappady), shared valuable insights and expectations from the students, encouraging them to make the most of their postgraduate studies. Mr. Sunil Joseph, (Manager, Mar Elias College), addressed the gathering, highlighting the institution's commitment to excellence and student success. Followed by, the dignitaries lit the lamp, symbolizing the ignition of knowledge and wisdom. Eminent guests and faculty members were felicitated for their contributions to the institution – Rev. Fr. Eldhose Thombara (Assistant Vicar, Kalkunnel Mar Geevargheese Sahada Church), Mr. Eldhose K Paul (Trustee, Kalkunnel Mar Geevargheese Sahada Church), Mr. Jincy P Mathews (Vice Principal), Mrs. Tintu Scaria (IQAC Coordinator). Mrs. Soumya Mathew, (HOD Social Work Dept.), expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and well-wishers, marking the conclusion of the ceremony.
