Mar Elias College, Kottappady, Department of Social Work in association with the Anti-Narcotic Cell organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme on 16th October, 2025. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free campus.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by the welcome address delivered by Mr. Eldhose Paulose, Anti-Narcotic Cell Coordinator, Mar Elias College. The felicitation was given by Dr. Joseph T. Moolayil, Principal of Mar Elias College, who highlighted the importance of preventive measures and the role of youth in building a drug-free society.
The awareness session was conducted by Mr. Ebrahim K. S., Vimukthi Mentor, Excise Department. He delivered an informative and interactive session on the causes, consequences, and preventive strategies related to drug addiction. His talk effectively encouraged the students to stay vigilant and make responsible choices in life.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Pavithra M Kailas, Student Coordinator Mar Elias College. The session was highly informative and impactful, helping students understand the significance of leading a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
