World AIDS Day is observed annually on December 1st to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, commemorate those who have lost their lives to the disease, and show support for individuals living with HIV. The day serves as a global reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat HIV/AIDS, promote prevention, and work towards a world without discrimination against those affected by the virus.
Department of Social Work, Mar Elias College Kottapady, under IQAC In association with MESSWA organised Badge distribution, solidarity deceleration, Flash mob, and Film screening on 01/12/23 at Mar Elias College. The main aim of these programmes was to create proper awareness about HIV/AIDS. In this program around 62 students and teachers participated.
