Outcome of the programme.
The purpose of celebrating Women's Day is to highlight the empowerment efforts made by women over the years to equalise their freedom in all spheres. This movement is still going on. The Women Empowerment Cell arranged these programmes for this Women's Day to express the views on gender equity and the updated facilities for them, particularly for menstrual troubles. The session's goal was to educate the students regarding menstrual cups and the usage of the same. It will give insight in to the benefits of having menstrual cups instead of sanitary napkins during periods. Also using a menstrual cup instead of a sanitary pad, is a green initiative to the nature.
