Hindi Bhashan Prathiyogitha

As the part of the HINDI DAY Celebrations, Mar Elias Language Association (MELA) organized Hindi Speech Competition on 20 September 2023 in the seminar hall at 10:30 am for the students of our college. The topic was” Bhoomandleekaran ki nuksan”. It is celebrated in India to commemorate the date 14 September 1949 on which a compromise was reached—during the drafting of the Constitution of India—on the languages that were to have official status in the Republic of India. On this day, the Constituent Assembly of India decided by one vote that Hindi would be the official language of India. The day is also important as over 180 million people around the world speak Hindi as their first language while 300 million people have Hindi as their second.
The aim to enhance the speaking skills of the students especially to improve upon Hindi language and pronunciation. Students with great interest worked upon influencing topics which were given to them and they tried to give their best to speak on the topics.
Language and culture of any country plays an important role in making people-to connect with the people & helps in making a strong nation. Thus, the celebration concluded with a positive note. Hindi Diwas was celebrated with zeal and zest and fulfilled the objective to propagate and spread the language.
There were 13 Student participated in the Competition. Mrs. Jubilin Jose and Mrs. Blessy Aleyas were the judges. Mr.Samuel Aleyas (III BCom. Finance & Taxtion) got the First position     and Ms. Meera G (II BSc. Computer Science) got the Second Position.
