Vagamon is a magical land replete with rolling hills, lush meadows, rustic hamlets and sprawling pine valleys. It is an ideal destination to escape into nature. The grassy hills, velvet lawns and overall mysticism of the place cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
Tourism club in association with department of tourism studies organized a field visit to vagamon, Idukki as part of World Tourism Day celebrations “PARYADAN” on 26th September 2023. A field trip is a journey to a place away from normal, usually urban, environment which is attended by a group of students. The purpose of the field trip is to provide insights and direct experience with real-life initiatives and activities in thematic accordance with the visited place.
41 students and 2 faculty members participated in this field trip, and covered Vagamon meadows, Pine Forest and Vagamon Eco Adventure Park and Paragliding point where India’s longest cantilever glass bridge is located.
