World Soil Day is held annually on 5th December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate the sustainable management of soil resources. As part of World Soil Day Celebration Bhoomithrasena in association with Film Club and IQAC organized a Documentary Film Screening Programme on 5th December 2023, from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm in Seminar Hall. The Programme was presided by Ms. Tintu Scaria, IQAC Coordinator, Mar Elias College. In her message, she pointed out the importance of of preservation of soil and urged every student and staff to take part in the programmes to protect the soil and environment. She encouraged everyone who gathered there to protect our soil as the basic need for our survival in this earth. A warm welcome was extended to all dignitaries by Mr. Lijo T. George, Bhoomithrasena Coordinator. Kum. Vaishnavi E.P, Student Coordinator proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Documentary ‘Mannu’ was screened after the formal session. Almost 76students attended the Documentary Screening Programme. The whole Programme was a true blend of information and entertainment. The main aim of the programme was to spread and create awareness to Protect the Soil and Environment. The entire programme has made the students to think seriously about the environment.
