National Nutrition Week - 2024

The Family Health Centre, Kottappady, organized an orientation session on nutrition, aimed at educating participants about the importance of nutrition in daily life. The event featured expert speakers who shared valuable insights on nutrition-related topics, intending to raise awareness and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.

The session began with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Vidya V V, who greeted the attendees and highlighted the significance of nutrition education. She emphasized how essential a well-balanced diet is for maintaining overall health and well-being. Her welcoming words set a positive and engaging tone for the session, motivating the audience to actively participate and absorb the information presented.

The primary speaker for the session, Ms. Anumol K A, a Middle Level Service Provider from the Family Health Centre in Kottappady, delivered an insightful presentation. Ms. Anumol’s presentation covered various aspects of nutrition, including:
1. Understanding Nutrients: An overview of essential nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals), their sources, and their roles in bodily functions.
