The Department of Commerce, in association with Department of English under IQAC, organized a workshop on the topic of “How to Ace an Interview and Craft an Effective Curriculum Vitae” on 17 May, 2024, from 9:30 am onwards, for the II M.COM Finance & Taxation Students. This workshop aims to equip our final year M.Com students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in interviews and secure opportunities that align with their career goals. Dr. Bruce Mathew, Principal of Mar Elias College, Kottappady, served as the resource person for the first session. The focus of the session primarily revolved around guidance on how to tailor Curriculum Vitae to highlight strength and experiences effectively. Mrs.Sumi S, Department of English handled the second session of this workshop. The purpose of this session was to raise awareness about the techniques for effective interview preparation, strategies for answering common interview questions confidently and tips for presenting oneself professionally and confidently.
The session fostered an interactive environment and provided valuable information to the students. A post-presentation interactive session allowed students to clarify their doubts effectively. The students were highly motivated and the workshop added values to their personal and professional development. The session concluded around 1:30 pm, leaving attendees with a deeper understanding of how to ace an interview and craft an effective Curriculum Vitae.
