Department of commerce organized a one-day workshop on Data Analysis using SPSS on16th september2023 from 10.00AM to 3.30 PM in computer lab of our college. The workshop brought together over 27 participants from our college. The workshop was handled by Dr Jitha G Nair, Assistant Professor Department of Business Administration, Albertian Institute of Management, Cochin. The aim of the workshop is to enable the participants to operate the SPSS software on their own and understand when and what statistical method to use. The workshop starts with some theoretical input sessions to help the participants to brush the knowledge in basic statistics. These sessions followed by software enabled practical training with demonstration and hands -on exercise. Theoretical and practical sessions alternatively arranged so that the participants understand, appreciate and able to meaningfully interpret the output. The workshop provided an interactive atmosphere between the resource person and the participants. After this session participants can develop an ability to independently analyse and treat data, plan, and carry out new research work based on their new research intent.
