The Mar Elias College Commerce Association (MECCA) under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mar Elias College organized a class on Research Methodology for third-year B.com and M.Com students on September 30, 2024, at 10:00 am in the Seminar Hall.
The program commenced with a formal inauguration Dr. Divya James, Assistant Professor at Newman College, Thodupuzha, served as the resource person. Mrs. Jincy P. Mathews, Head of the Department of Commerce, presided over the meeting. Ben Kuriakose, a second-year M.Com student, delivered the welcome address.
Dr. Divya James provided a comprehensive explanation of research work, topic selection, chapter-wise content, data analysis, bibliography styles, and rules for project work. The session was highly effective and interactive.The program achieved its intended outcome, empowering students with a comprehensive understanding of research methodology and equipping them with the skills and confidence to undertake their research projects effectively.
An interactive session followed, where students clarified their doubts about research work. A total of 50 students attended and participated in the seminar.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dhanush Raj, MECCA Coordinator, at 1:00 pm.
