Dept. Of Computer Science and Applications Association (IGNUS) in association with IQAC observed “National Mathematics Day” on 22 December 2023, Friday by circulating poster through students WhatsApp group. As part of this day we organized a seminar for third year BCA& B.Sc Computer Science students on the topic Web graph on 16/01/2024, Tuesday from 11.30am to12.30pm. Ms Poornima N, Head of the department started the programme by introducing the objective of the seminar. Ms Teena K K who was a co-ordinator of the seminar described the importance of celebrating Mathematics Day and the contributions made by Srinivasa Ramanujan in the field of Mathematics. Mr Jittu Bejohn of third year B.Sc Computer Science explained purpose of data mining, web mining taxonomy, web content mining and web structure mining. After that Ms Athila Thasnim Jaleel of third year BCA described properties and uses of web graph and also web as a graph. A good number of students took active participation in the seminar and cleared doubts about the content. Students gave positive feedback to this seminar. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Abhay Subramanian, student coordinator.
