The PG Department of Commerce at Mar Elias College, in collaboration with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) - Kochi Chapter, successfully organized the inauguration of the CS Study Centre and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 16th December 2024. The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening professional education opportunities for students aspiring to pursue a career in Company Secretaryship.
The primary goal of the initiative was to provide students with access to quality education, training, and resources required to become skilled Company Secretaries. The MoU aims to foster collaboration between the college and ICSI, ensuring academic and professional support to students.
The event commenced at 1:30 PM with a welcome address by the Head of the Department. Sri. Nikhil George Pinto, Chairman of ICSI Kochi Chapter, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of the Company Secretary profession and encouraged students to take advantage of the study centre's resources.
Following the speech, the official inauguration of the CS Study Centre took place, symbolizing the beginning of a new academic collaboration.
