The Gaming Fest 2024 was organized successfully by MULEARN MECK in collaboration with IGNUS (Computer Science & Applications Association) on October 30, 2024. This event aimed to provide a platform for gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills in a competitive yet friendly environment. A total of 150 students participated in the event, engaging in intense competitions across three popular games: Free Fire, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), and PES (Pro Evolution Soccer). The event was designed not only to entertain but also to bring out the strategic thinking, teamwork, and technical prowess of the participants.
The competition featured three highly engaging games. Free Fire, a battle royale game, saw players using quick reflexes and teamwork to be the last player or team standing. The BGMI tournament, another battle royale game, was equally competitive, with students demonstrating survival skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication. In PES, the popular football simulation game, players showcased their skills in fast-paced matches that tested their control over the game and tactical understanding of football. Each of these tournaments allowed the participants to compete under fair and exciting conditions, fostering a fun atmosphere while promoting healthy competition.
The Closing Ceremony of Gaming Fest 2024 took place at the end of the event, where winners of each competition were recognized for their exceptional performances. The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Principal, Manager, IQAC Coordinator, Head of Department (HOD), and faculty members from various departments. Their presence added to the significance of the event, emphasizing the importance of such extracurricular activities in the overall development of students. During the ceremony, the winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates as a token of appreciation for their dedication and skill. The dignitaries took the opportunity to congratulate the winners and express their admiration for all participants, applauding their efforts in making the event a success.
The dignitaries also shared encouraging words with the students. The Principal congratulated the organizers and participants, acknowledging the hard work that went into making the event possible and emphasizing the value of such activities in shaping well-rounded individuals.
