On 7th March,2024 an extension programme was organized by First year B.Com. (2023-2026 batch) students of Mar Elias College,Kottappady under MECCA in association with UNARV under IQAC at Koinonia Mission Special School. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, aiming to contribute to the community through donations and cultural engagement. The objectives of this Programme was
1. To support the Koinonia Mission through donations of food and funds.
2. To provide entertainment and cultural enrichment to the residents of the mission.
3. To instill a sense of social responsibility and community service among students.
The students collectively donated a substantial amount of food to Koinonia Mission Special School. In addition to food, students raised funds through various initiatives prior to the visit. The total amount collected was handed over to the management of Koinonia Mission. To foster a joyful and engaging environment, students organized a series of cultural activities, including Music Performances and Dance Performances. There were interactive sessions where students and residents participated in games and storytelling, creating a lively atmosphere.
The outcome of the Programme
• The food donations significantly contributed to the daily needs of the residents, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.
• Financial Aid The funds provided will aid in the operational expenses of the mission and support various developmental activities.
