Department of Commerce under IQAC of Mar Elias College Kottappady held a memorable farewell program on 22 nd July 2024, "Bon Voyage," to honor and bid adieu to our cherished seniors. The event began at 1:15 PM and was a blend of formal and informal segments, meticulously organized to ensure a heartwarming experience.
The formal proceedings commenced with a solemn prayer by Ashin Shajan,setting a reverent tone for the event. Following this, Ben Kuriakose delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting all attendees. Jincy P. Mathews, the Head of the Commerce Department, then delivered the presidential address, highlighting the achievements and contributions of the outgoing students.
A special felicitation was given by Joseph T Moolayil ,the Principal of Mar Elias College Kottappady, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the seniors. The speeches by esteemed teachers Mini Elias, Reshma Prasanth, Vineetha C. R., and Febeena O. S (Faculty coordinator) . were heartfelt, filled with anecdotes and words of encouragement.
Neema Eldho concluded the formal section with a vote o thanks ,expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success. Aparna Venu anchored this section with poise and grace, ensuring a smooth flow of the program.The formal segment culminated with the seniors sharing their experiences, reminiscing
about their time at the college, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony that added a sweet touch to the proceedings The informal segment of the event was a vibrant displayof talent and creativity . it featured various midblowing activities and dance performances that left everyone enthralled. The energy and enthusiasm of of the participants were infectious creating a joyous and celebratory atmosphere.
Refreshments were provided towards the end,allowing everyone to relax and mingle ,sharing memories and forging stronger bonds. The program concluded on a high note, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.
The “BON VOYAGE ”farewell programe at Mar Elias College Kottappady was fitting tribute to our beloved seniors, celebrating their journey and wishing them success in their future endeavors. The event not only highlighted to strong community spirit of our college but also exemplified our commitments to honouring and valuing each member of our academic family.
