Internal Complaint Committee in association with Women Empowerment Cell of Mar Elias College Kottappady under IQAC organized a webinar on Dowry Related Laws on 6th September 2021at 6.30 pm. The first session began with a welcome speech by the convenor of Internal Complaint Committee Mrs Deepa Alias Who after welcoming all explained to the audience the purpose of the webinar. After welcome address there was a Presidential address by the Principal, Dr P K Sudarsanan. The Chief Guest, Judicial first class Magistrate & Chairman TLSC Kothamangalam, Sri Shabir Ibrahim, then inaugurated the webinar formally and addressed the audience. The inauguration was followed by a keynote address by Senior Advocate Kothamangalam, Mr. C K GEORGE .He explained the importance of dowry related Laws and Women Empowerment could resolve the dowry related problems to a great extent. He explained that the state government should launch a wide publicity campaign against dowry through various channels. Keynote address was followed by a felicitation by IQAC Cordinator, Mrs Jili K Eldhose. The webinar programme end with a vote of thanks by Mrs Poornima N (Convenor, Women Empowerment Cell).
