Invocation ceremony and orientation programme

The Invocation ceremony and Orientation programme fpr P G Students (BODHI) was organised by IQAC in collaboration with P G Association was conducted as two sessions. The first session of this programme was held on 28th December 202 through an online platform Google Meet. It was an interactive and informative session to the new students. The second session was held  on 1st January 2021 at College Auditorium. Mr. Prasidh Prasad (Fouunder & CEO, Phoenix Career Mentors, Kochi) was the Cheif Guest of the fuction. The formal function started at 9.30 AM with a prayer. Mrs Sreekala C (Programme Co-ordinator) delivered the welcome speech and the presidential address was delivered by Dr. Smitha Harikumar (Principal , Mar Elias College). Rev Fr. John Komayil (Vicar, Kalkunnel Mar Geevarghese Sahada Church, Kottappady) inaugurated the ceremony and also delivered Words of Blessing. Felicitations were delivered by Rev. Fr. George Cheriakudy (Asst. Vicar, Kalkunnel Mar Geevarghese Sahada Church, Kottappady), Adv. Biji P Issac (Manager, Mar Elias College), Mr. K V Paulose ( Truustee, Kalkunnel Mar Geevarghese Sahada Church, Kottappady), Mrs. Jili K Eldhose (IQAC Coordinator), Mrs. Jincy P Mathews (HOD. Dept. of  Commerce), Mrs. Soumya Mathew (HOD, Dept. of Social Work). The official function came to end with vote of thanks by Mrs. Sinimol P S (Faculty Coordinator P G Association). 

After the formal fuction an orientation workshop was also arranded for the students. The topic was "Career Motivation and Industry Readiness Workshop". The full dat session was handled by our resource person Mr. Prasidh Prasad. He shared his own experiences with the students. Nineteen students attended the class. The afternoon session was completely engaged with several activities and other pragrammes. Th session was very interactive and fruitful for the students. The orientation class was winded up at 4.30 PM.

            Mar Elias College PG Association (MEPGA) inauguration was conducted on 23rd January 2020 at the college auuditorium. Dr. Eldho Alias (Scientific Officer Forensic Laborataory, Kerala Police) was the Cheif Guest of the fuction. The formal fuction started with a prayer. Mrs. Sinimol P.S (P.G. Co-ordinator) delivered the welcome speeech and the presidential address was delivered by Dr. Smitha Harikumar (Principal, MEC). The cheif guest Dr. Eldho Alias inaugurated the fuction and the felicitations were delivered by Adv. Biji P Issac (Manager, MEC), Mrs. Vineetha C  R (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce) and Mrs. Soumya Mathew (HOD, Dept. of Social Work). First year M.Com students reference material named 'INITIUM NOVAM ' was released by Dr. Eldho Alias. The official fuction came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mr. Ashik Latheef (Student Co-ordinator, P G Association). 

            An orientation class for PSC exam preparations was taken by Dr. Eldho Alias for the PG students and teachers. The resource person shared his own experiences with the audience. Fifty students and teachers attended the class. The session was very interactive and fruitful for the students as well as for teachers. The afternoon seession was completly engaged with several cultural activities and other programmes. Marketing games Quiz competition amd Extempore were the highlighted programmes. Prizes were didstributed tto the winners at the end of the day by Dr. Smitha Harikumar , Principal , Mar Elias College.
